PTA Nominations for 2026-27 School Year
Dear Parents/Guardians,
As we enter Spring, I would like to thank our current PTA for everything they have done. They work behind the scenes in many ways. Yet, their team is small. I encourage you to get involved and support our PTA by joining and/or volunteering a few hours during different activities throughout the school year.
One of the yearly practices is to vote for the upcoming year's PTA board. This is an opportunity for you to get involved as well.
President: Presides at all meetings. Keeps track of budget and other board members’ functions and responsibilities, prepares agendas/events/ calendars. Meets with Board Members once a month, oversees all functions, delegates responsibilities.
Vice-President: In the absence of the President, performs all duties of the President. Assists the President in all matters regarding planning, meetings, fundraisings and shall serve as a liaison between students, staff, and community.
Membership Coordinator: Organizes membership drives, keeps track of membership fees, creates incentives to recruit members.
Secretary: Keeps accurate records of all meetings. Secretarial duties (correspondence, emails, phone calls)
Treasurer: Receives all monies and deposits in checking account. Pays approved bills and keeps records of all transactions. Also prepares Financial Statements, Budget statements, monthly account reviews for auditor.
Fundraising Officer: Organizes fundraisers to raise funds for PTA programs and projects.
Donation Representative: Reaches out to the community businesses for donations to be used for activities or incentives.
Special Events: Coordinates school-wide events for students and their families, organizes and recruits volunteers.
Spirit Wear Coordinator: Coordinates collecting and fulfilling spirit wear orders. (Write In position - not a board position)
Starbucks Coordinator | PBIS Rewards Online Store Coordinator: Fulfills prizes that students order from the PBIS Starbucks online store. (Write In position - not a board position)
Media Coordinator: Manages (creating and monitoring posts) Dickson PTA instagram in coordination with Principal and Assistant Principal. (Write In position - not a board position)
We first start by taking nominations.
Please complete this Google form by Monday, April 20, 2026 | Paper Nomination Forms are attached and also available in the office. You can nominate yourself or someone else with their permission. All nominees and voters must be a paid PTA member for at least 30 days to be on the voting ballot (PTA bylaws).

After nominations are completed, we will send out the voting ballot with parents/guardians who have agreed to run for a board position. The new board members will be announced at the PTA meeting in May.
I hope you really consider joining PTA at the Board level. Your support and input will directly impact our students' learning environment.
