Although students are generally expected to attend school in their zoned attendance area, California Education Code and the policies ofthe Board of Education allow various options for students wanting to attend another school within the district. One of those options is through the intradistrict open enrollment transfer process. Below is information for this year's intradistrict open enrollment period for students who desire to transfer schools within Chino Valley Unified School District ("CVUSD") in the 2026-2027 school year.

The CVUSD Intradistrict Open Enrollment period begins November 3, 2025, at 7:30 a.m. and ends December 5, 2025, at 4:30 p.m. Transfers are not approved on a first come-first served selection process, but through a random, unbiased lottery process used to establish the rank order of which applications may be approved. Intradistrict open enrollment and transitional kindergarten open enrollment applications will be available online at
https://www.chino.k12.ca.us/179652_3. Online assistance is available at Student Support Services, at 13461 Ramona Avenue, Chino, CA 91710 Hours: Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., including Monday through Wednesday of Thanksgiving break.

INTRADISTRICT OPEN ENROLLMENT PRIORITIES: Siblings of students who have established residency in a school through a prior transfer process shall have first priority for available space at that school in succeeding years, if the older or younger sibling is currently enrolled. For the sibling preference to apply, the siblings must both attend the same school in 2026-2027. The next priority is for students who have a parent/guardian employed by the Chino Valley Unified School District and is assigned to the requested school as their primary place of employment for the 2026-2027 school year.

TRANSITIONAL KINDERGARTEN OPEN ENROLLMENT PRE-REGISTRATION: Students eligible for Transitional Kindergarten (TK) for the 2026-2027 school year must have their fourth birthday on or before September 1, 2026. Proof of student’s age eligibility must be presented to Student Support Services once submission of the application has been received.

AM: Briggs, Butterfield, Cattle, Chaparral, Dickson, Dickey, Glenmeade, Liberty, Litel, Oak Ridge, Walnut, Wickman
PM: Anna Borba, Briggs, Butterfield, Cattle, Chaparral, Dickson, Dickey, Glenmeade, Liberty, Litel, Walnut, Wickman
