Dear Parents and Guardians,

My name is Mr. Kim, and I am the music teacher at Dickson Elementary. I am excited and honored to be part of the Dickson family, serving our students and witnessing their growth together. 

This morning, we hosted the Band on the Run program in the cafeteria, and it was a great success! Many of our 5th and 6th grade students expressed interest in joining either the band or the string program. If your child missed the Band on the Run this morning, it will be presented again. 

During the presentation, I shared important information about how to join and how to obtain an instrument. I understand that it was a lot for students to remember, especially after a full school day.
Attached to this message, you will find:
• Program details
• Instructions for obtaining an instrument and accessories
• Class schedule (times may be adjusted, but days are set)
• Band/String registration form

Please review the packet thoroughly with your child and sign the registration form. Students should return the completed form to their classroom teacher.

If your child would like to join the band or string program but is unable to afford an instrument, a District Instrument Loan Form is available in the school office. Please request this form directly from the office (or find it attached to this message), complete and sign it, and have your child submit it stapled together with the band/string registration form.
